Methnani was founded in 2006 by Fathia Methnani, out of the network she'd built within the Leiden Bioscience Park. What started as consulting work for LUMC, Biomimic and Biogen Idec grew into a dedicated microbiology practice for pharma and biopharma clients across the Netherlands.Today, Methnani is an independent microbiology consultancy based in Haarlem, dedicated entirely to pharmaceutical microbiology for the pharma & biopharma sector. We work on-site with our clients' teams on the challenges that matter today.
We're a boutique by design: focused enough to go deep on one discipline, small enough that every engagement gets our most experienced people, not whoever happens to be free.
Since 1 July 2025, Methnani is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Progress - Experts in Life Sciences. That means you get the focus and specialism of a microbiology boutique, backed by the scale, network and life-sciences expertise of Progress - Experts in Life Sciences.
